HOTEL DEL CAPITANO

THE STRUCTURE

The Hotel del Capitano originated in the early 70s from an ancient family home painted in white lime and a dome-shaped roof, inherited from the parents of Eugenia and her husband Vincenzo who were the founders and completely rebuilt the building, taking on its current stepped structure to blend with the surrounding landscape. The family tradition has been lovingly continued by their children.
Nestled among the pastel colors of the houses of the Porto Borbonico, among the typical alleyways painted in white lime, the Hotel boasts a central location within walking distance of the mainland embarkation points and various piers, on a quiet pedestrian street parallel to the main promenade. With years of experience in the hotel industry, the staff is committed to ensuring an unforgettable experience by welcoming and meeting the needs of their guests to make their stay enjoyable and relaxing.
The Reception is open 24 hours a day, and for information preferably from 8:00 AM to 9:00 PM.

L′ISOLA DI PONZA

Una perla nel mar Mediterraneo

The island of Ponza, off the Gulf of Gaeta, is one of the pearls of the Mediterranean.
Known since the times of the Phoenicians, it is characterized by sandy coasts, wonderful coves, sea stacks, pristine sea, and significant archaeological sites.
In just 8 square kilometers, there are also many architectural beauties: the typical and colorful houses with barrel roofs, the narrow alleys, the craft shops, and the many typical places where tourists love to spend their evenings.
And then there′s the crystal clear sea. Among the most equipped beaches, in addition to those of the Port such as S.Antonio, Giancos, S. Maria, is the famous Frontone beach, which is mainly accessible by sea with boats providing shuttle service, or the small beach of Cala Feola in the locality of Le Forna, reachable by bus or by sea.
Some rocky coves in the locality of Le Forna reachable by bus are: the Natural Pools, the Caletta, Cala dell′Acqua, Cala Gaetano, Punta Incenso, Cala Cecata. A boat tour of the island is the best way to discover many other beautiful coves and beaches only accessible by sea.
